SURF REPORT
Wuddup, this is davO with the report for Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm.
SURF:
2-3 ft.+ - knee to chest high with occasional 4 ft. and fair - conditions.

PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW:This afternoon we are seeing fun surf throughout the region in the waist-shoulder zone for most areas-with select breaks in the north end of the county seeing bigger sets to headhigh + as the swell builds and tide drops into the evening. Winds are light/moderate onshore making for semi-clean surface conditions.

This morning's dawn patrol: Fun, but smaller peaks and lines with workable Rs and Ls to pick off. Sets are still fairly consistent in the waist high zone right now-but could slow down a bit with the mid-day high tide.

WEATHER:
Cloudy skies and light/variable winds-clean.
NORTH ORANGE COUNTY'S REGIONAL OVERVIEW:
Old WNW groundswell continues to fade today but still offering up some fun-but smaller waves for most areas. Expect more size through the north end of the region, most spots are seeing knee-waist high waves while standouts (mainly extreme north HB) see some sets to chest high occasionally. Conditions are clean with calm winds and tide is climbing to a 4.10' high at 12:33pm-which may soft things up a bit. Look for new WNW swell to start filling at most spots by the afternoon.
FORECAST SUMMARY:
THURSDAY: A 4.1’ high tide around 12:30pm will slow things down a bit midday. Mainly old WNW swell early for knee-waist-chest zone waves, best from HB northward. Look for some larger sets through the PM as the tide drops and a new WNW swell builds.
Wind: Light/variable to S/SE early, turning W/SW 5-8kts for the afternoon.

Come on down!

WSA heads to Oceanside Harbor this weekend. Surfline's Kevin Wallis put together this custom forecast for WSA: "Saturday morning will be a little slow, relatively speaking, with mainly old and fading WNW swell in the water. The waves will still be plenty contestable, however, with waist-chest occasional shoulder high sets at the Harbor. Look for a gradual building trend over the afternoon as a touch of both new WNW and SSW swell start to fill in. Sunday looks like a really fun day of surf as the WNW swell builds in further and the small SSW swell mixes in to offer the occasional crossed up and bowly peak. Surf will potentially be in the chest-head high range, with a pretty good possibility of some larger sets." CLICK HERE to register now. Registration will close at 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3. No phone or email entries.
