Wuddup, this is davO with the report for Wednesday afternoon at 1:00pm. 2-4 ft. - knee to shoulder high and fair conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW:This afternoon we are seeing some fun peaks and lines in the waist-high plus range on sets at most spots throughout the region. Winds are light to moderate onshore and surface conditions remain on the semi-clean side. Tide will be backing out into the evening-which could make for more consistent sets later.
This morning's dawn patrol: Clean and soft peaky lines with some fun pick and choose corners. A bit inconsistent at times-and may fatten up a bit with the incoming high tide.
Cloudy skies with areas of patchy fog and Light/variable winds-clean. Old WNW groundswell continues to diminish today but still offering some fun-but smaller waves for most areas. Expect more size through the north end of the region, most spots are seeing knee-waist high waves while standouts (mainly extreme north HB) see some sets to chest high occasionally. Conditions are clean with calm winds and tide is climbing to a 4.58' high at 11:28am-which may soft things up a bit. THURSDAY: A 4.1’ high tide around 12:30pm will slow things down a bit midday. Mainly old WNW swell early for knee-waist-chest zone waves. Larger sets through the PM as the tide drops and a new WNW starts to build. Wind: Light/variable to E/SE early, turning light W/SW 5-8kts for the afternoon.

There is a group art show at Spencer Croul's/Phil Roberts studio in Corona del Mar Friday and Saturday, the 12th and 13th, with Rob Havassy, Phil Roberts, Rick Rietveld, Bill Ogden, Drew Brophy and Heather Ritts. Come on down! WSA heads to Oceanside Harbor this weekend. Surfline's Kevin Wallis put together this custom forecast for WSA: "Saturday morning will be a little slow, relatively speaking, with mainly old and fading WNW swell in the water. The waves will still be plenty contestable, however, with waist-chest occasional shoulder high sets at the Harbor. Look for a gradual building trend over the afternoon as a touch of both new WNW and SSW swell start to fill in. Sunday looks like a really fun day of surf as the WNW swell builds in further and the small SSW swell mixes in to offer the occasional crossed up and bowly peak. Surf will potentially be in the chest-head high range, with a pretty good possibility of some larger sets." CLICK HERE to register now. Registration will close at 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3. No phone or email entries. If you are thinking about a trip to the North Shore this winter, and would like to polish up your technique or talents, you may want to visit the SunsetSuratt Surf School.
